Passion
There is a mountain above town where a mining company wants to put in a molybdenum mine. While this town started as a mining town, it has morphed into a ski/environmentally conscious town. And now that the mining company wants to go back to the roots of Crested Butte, it has sparked the passions of many locals to fight against what they no longer believe in. You see signs of this all the time - along with these Red Lady prayer flags, you'll find people dressed in red, bumper stickers and protests galore. The passion that people here feel is very inspiring.
