TippiePics > 001 Butterfly Pavilion Sisters Day 1 of my new project! Although I didn't upload photos until the 16th of March, I have been taking them since the day after my birthday, the last day of my Self Portrait project. Interested in more about my new project? Please see this page! I thought long and hard about what photo to start my project with. Something that would represent the project itself. I even considered putting it off and not starting until I found that photo. But after really looking at this one, I realized it was perfect. My girls amaze me every day. They're funny, silly, smart, sweet, frustrating... And inquisitive. I love their zest for life and to understand so much. We went to the Butterfly Pavilion in Denver and my girls happened upon a small butterfly whose wings were broken and it was having problems. They were not only very concerned about this poor little creature, they also wanted to understand why it happened. Even with all the beautiful fixed butterflies flying around, they still found time to try to learn more and felt so much care for this hurt one that my heart just soared at their love and understanding for all creatures around us. We all have much to learn from children.
