TippiePics > Day 38 Slate River We found the rock skipping MOTHERLODE! We've been here 100 times and I've seen this section of the shore, but it never clicked. Today I saw it and thought, "Hey, rocks for the girls to throw! They LOVE that." But what I actually found? Tons and tons of flat rocks for skipping! YAY! (Can you see my splash? I had one rock skip 5 times! And I suck at throwing.)

Will I be seen as the fun mom, the mom who would never put down her camera, the mom who..... I don't know. TippiePics > Day 78 (1 of 2) End of our street (the future Rainbow Park) Lest you think I'm really down with my depressing photos, the girls and I had a GREAT day in this amazing place. It's in the high 40's, dry and just gorgeous today! (It was snowing yesterday.) We ran around, picked dandelions and had a great time!
TippiePics > Day 77 Home Yesterday we found out about Ellie's allergies... Long story short, we knew she was allergic to eggs and peanuts, but suspected something else. Turns out it's cats and dogs. While I'll miss Gunther, my kitty Maelstrom is going to be MUCH harder to part with. You see, Ellie's allergies are 4+ on a scale of 1 through 4. Great thing is - we FINALLY know what's going on with her allergies! Yay! (And it's treatable, for the most part. She has other bad seasonal allergies, but nothing like cat and dog.) Bummer is losing out animals. I know there are much harder things in life, but I'm just very bummed that I'm going to be finding Maelstrom a new home. (I know this photo is a little dark, but that's how I'm feeling right now. Who knows, maybe I'll brighten it tomorrow!)

TippiePics > Day 76 (1 of 2) Monarch Pass Yes, it's snowing up there. Yes, it really was 26 degrees out as I took this shot. Yes, it was probably dumb, but it looks worse than it was! But honestly, I'm not upset about the snow... LOL! I was SO ready to get out of the heat!
