My sweet little birthday girl... Very sleepy and whiny today. No clue why - maybe exhausted by the hike. Not sure. Poor thing!

And yes, that blob in the lower left is my hand holding a frame. Although I should have used a smaller aperture, I still like that Sammie is framed and you can barely see me.

Thinking about Mexico!!! As you can see, I'm wearing my fleece and a winter hat.... But I'm thinking about being on a beach in 9 days. I can't WAIT to spend two weeks hanging with the family!! The place we're staying is VERY bright and colorful (from the photos I've seen of it) and I wanted to blow out the colors here - that's why you don't see skin - that looked FREAKY! ;)

Oh, on another AWESOME note... This was taken with my 50mm!!! Yup, got it back in plenty of time, fixed and under warranty. (Even though I was 45 days PAST warranty! Yay for Canon!)

Lower Loop Trail
Crested Butte

The family and I went for a nice, beautiful hike along the Lower Loop today. In spite of the patches of snow along the way, the flowers were starting too bloom. Beauty stretches for miles around. Amazing.

I woke very early this morning (I'm NOT a morning person!) and was starting to stress about all I needed to do. Mexico, my sister-in-laws wedding, advertising, a few other minor things. I also woke with a crick in my neck. *sigh* That's on top of falling again off my townie bike! It's all Gunther's fault....

But I got one big thing out of the way! Worked my tush off for about 3.5 hours and then I lost focus. Ah, well!

We leave for Denver tomorrow! And then the flight for Mexico leaves on Saturday! Yay!

Won't have much access to the internet (I don't think) so you may not see me update this until the 22nd or 23rd....

TippiePics > Day 58 Home, back deck - Well, we leave for Denver in the afternoon... and just in time! Yes, that' snow. And rumor has it that there is another foot on the way! Can we get to Mexico fast enough?

TippiePics > Day 60 (1 of 2) - Casa del Sol - The pool is amazing! Well, the HOUSE is amazing! We got a pretty huge place that includes access to a lagoon as well as a pool. My little Ellie fish has just taken to the water like crazy! She's only been in one pool before, but was "swimming" around with her life jacket and noodle almost immediately!
