My mother, Sammie, Ellie and I were putting our hands down on the table so that I could get a shot of all of our hands... and Sammie did this. I just thought it was too cute!

Here are my mom (lower right), me, Sammie (top) and Ellie (right). You can sort of tell that my mom and my mom's hands are almost identical! As a matter of fact, one time she was commenting on what pretty hands I had when I pointed that fact out. She was surprised!

I just thought this would be a fun shot....

SNOW! This winter has been SO crazy warm. *sigh* Let's hear it for global warming!

Anyway, it started to snow so I grabbed my coffee and headed upstairs for a few minutes of time alone. Okay, 30 seconds.

Sammie just kills me sometimes! She insists on wearing hats or jackets or shoes or mittens even when there is no chance of going outside!

We bought a bunch of storm windows to put up and they were stacked on our porch. I suddenly realized it might be an interesting mirror photo. I liked the effect.

Now they need to go into the garage. I'm done with them.

Salida

Mom went home today and the girls and I met up with my dad to hand her off.... It's been a true godsend having her here this week. I don't know how I could have made it with Chris gone this long.

I miss him.

We spent about 45 minutes at the park after mom and dad headed home playing. The girls still managed to keep me company the whole way home! (An hour and fourty five minutes!)

I was having a LOT of problems getting the previous photo to look the way I wanted so I took this one. Then I liked both. The end.

Chris is home. I can't tell you how glad I am.
TippiePics > Day 18
Downtown Crested Butte

After hanging out at home, we headed out for a walk around town. Chris, Ellie and Sammie went into the Museum to check out the model train while Gunther and I headed around for some random photos. After the Museum, Ellie decided she was "too tired" and "too wobbly" to walk. Onto mom's shoulders she went! (Later, Sammie wanted to be on mom's shoulders so dad took Ellie.)

Just my eyes... Weird how they don't look that blue. Wonder why!

Taking photos of yourself every day is very humbling. It's hard to see your face and not start picking it apart.... And trying to find ways to minimize those issues you have with your face and body is sometimes really hard. Well, aside from major Photoshopping.

Today was one of those days that each photo I took seemed either a copy of a previous one or a horrible magnification of those problem areas. So I did this one of the back of my head. And after playing around in Lightroom, I was pleased with this grainy, edgy look. And I got a new preset out of it!

Thanks for looking at my Self Portrait a Day project!

Just wondering... Is anyone actually out there? Looking at my photos? If so, can you post a comment to this shot? I'd love to know who's there! :)

In our 1883 house, we have very little storage space so we decided to reclaim a little attic space. (It looks pretty big in this shot, but it's only about 80 square feet.) Because it is off the girls' room, we decided to carpet it and use it as a play area, too. We *finally* got the carpet in today! And we played all afternoon. It was so much fun!

I finally got my hair cut and Casey also straightened it, too! It's very odd to see me with straight hair. I can't wait to see it curly with the choppiness and the chunky streaks. I love doing different things! (It'll be straight until I wash it.)

End of our road

My sister in law and her fiance are in town and we went out to watch the girls climb in the snow.... Just me and Kathyrn watching Eric and the girls play around!
