So much is spinning past me right now - the summer, my girls, my photographer. It's not all bad by any stretch, I just have so much going on that I don't always take time to stop and really appreciate where I am and where I'm going.

The summer is getting close to ending here in CB. Nights are in the very low 40's or high 30's. Days are in the high 60's, maybe low 70's. Fall is rapidly approaching - and I didn't do enough for me and fun this summer! I need to make sure I'm getting out and really enjoying where I am - bike riding, cross country skiing, etc, etc. This time is precious!

(And I really should clone out that hair! Whoops! Just noticed it...)

"The fins one" - Named by Ellie

This is a picture Ellie drew for me! I'm SO proud of her! Before she started school, she knew all her letters and how to draw them in some impermanent way, but not with markers or pens. And drawing something for real? No way!

This is her name across the time (in some cases, she adds extra lines on the E's - very cute!), some mermaid fins on the left and "MOM" across to the right. She knows how to spell a few words, but aside from Ellie, this was her first. Oh, and this was completely unexpected and unsolicited!

I'm so proud of her!
