Day 6 (2 of 2) Home I have been REALLY unhappy with the way my skin looks in the photos so I set out to take a photo I liked. But still couldn't take a good one... Nothing I did changed much about it and I didn't want to Photoshop every single photo. After playing with Lightroom, i made some small adjustments and voila! I like it!! Comments? I'd love to hear! After deciding to do a self portrait a day, I thought it might be nice to get a shot with my girls. They thought this was a GREAT idea! LOL! Both took turns pressing the button for me. The center photo actually *is* taken by me.

Chris sent me these flowers for my birthday. They were lovely! I just loved how spring-y they are. Gorgeous! (I took a second shot and ended up liking it so I included it.)

I went out to try to buy a new mountain bike with the gift certificate I got from my family for my birthday, but the store was closed. I ended up riding my bike around, getting some tea and taking photos. This is at the west end of Elk Avenue in Crested Butte.

Not too long ago, I decided to go vegan. I wanted to represent this somehow, but not sure if this is it... I find this photo interesting, but not necessarily something I would do again. (All editing was done in Lightroom.)

I've also decided that while doing these photos, I want to push my normal "style" and find new things to do. Things that I normally wouldn't.

"Red"

After chatting with my friend Karen, she suggested that I find a "theme" to go with to give me ideas for the photos. My first "theme" is the rainbow - ROYGBIV. But I have to say, I'm a bit surprised that I haven't really needed that so if I find I'm not following the colors by doing something clever with them, I may wait to do it...

Anyway, here's "red". I've always been intrigued by the red willows along the side of the road. They are incredibly hard to photograph because it's pretty subtle, but in real life you can see it.

I'm not sure if you can see me in this photo as I'm hiding. Good luck finding me! :)

I am sick of seeing my face! LOL! So it's time to see my hands.

My girls LOVE bananas! After I did this photo, Ellie saw the bananas and promptly ate two of them! She claims she'll share with Sammie, but we'll see.

Why, you ask, "blue"? What happened to "green" and ROY G. BIV? Well, I've made the executive decision to leave green until Saint Patty's day! They're my portraits... I think I can do that. Can't I?

And yes, that's a glass of wine. I had it for lunch. Bad, I know, but I was just in the mood. Can't remember the last time I did it... Bad, bad Andi. It was good, good, though!

Butte & 8th

Yup, another day with two photos. I honestly thought this would be hard, but I keep coming up with fun ideas! I like this photo because you can see how even the huge mud puddles can be gorgeous. (See that reflection?)

I was inspired to do this one after riding around on my townie for a while (post office, lunch, etc.) and realized not only how amazed I am each time I get out on a day like today, but how amazing period it is here. This doesn't even come close to capturing the beauty, but you can hopefully tell how entralled I am with it!

Last night was a tough night - very tired. Sammie woke several times and I have no clue why. She did the night before, too, but I had to bring her into my bed last night when she woke 3 or 4 times within an hour. (And she woke about 3 more after that. I rubbed her back and she fell back to sleep.)

This is, of course, indigo as a reference to the jeans. For some reason, I really like this shot. Shows how I feel today....
