Well, I've thought long and hard and I'm bored with doing a photo a day. I feel extremely uncreative and I'm getting sick of photography. Not a good thing. So I'm going to stop this project. I'm not sure if it's the end forever or until some later date. But if I do start it up again, it'll be here. Most likely, anyway.

I think this photo sums up how I feel right now about this project. It works, the photos still tell a story, but it feels tired and worn and old. Right now it may be still, but there is a chance that I will come along again and remember the joy I once felt. But for now it's still.

I'll be checking on everyone else doing dailies, though!

At the end of the season, there is a small festival called Flaushink. Basically, flushing away winter and getting ready for spring. This is Mikey, our roof shoveler, in the smallest parade ever. Three vehicles and about 25 people were part of this parade - including Mike. He's on his way out of town to be a river rafting guide for the summer! We'll see him when the snow starts to fly again....

Waiting for the town bus. The girls and I LOVE riding the bus! It's free, easy to catch and something just so Crested Butte.

On a side note, I've uploaded many new photos - about 15 - and I'll reveal a few more soon. I'm very far behind and very uninspired right now, but I'm hoping to plow through this frustrating. No pun intended. Plow. Snow. 36'. Yuck.

While this may look beautiful to some, I'm sick of it. Snow. Crested Butte now has 418" of snow. A record. For those counting, that's almost 35' of snow. Thirty five. THIRTY FIVE FEET. Will spring EVER come?

Nope, we're getting 12" more today.

Make that THIRTY SIX FEET.

Sigh.

Going through a very uninspired photography time. Honestly, I'm not sure I want to do this project. I mean, I really do, but I'm just sick of the pressure of it. I think it wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't feeling so yucky lately.

Anyway, this is ice. No, not snow, ice surrounds that post. The snow melts and drips down and surrounds the post every year. This year is worse than most. I think it'll melt sometime in 2010.

It's amazing how you can go 7 years between seeing a good friend and still pick up just where you left off. Laura and her husband, Pat, opened their house to Ellie, Sammie and me for two nights without hesitation. I worried about how it would go, after all... the last time we'd hung out a lot we didn't have children and things were quite different.

But I didn't need to worry. It was amazing seeing them. I don't often get sad leaving friends, but I was in tears the morning I left. I miss them. I miss our friendship.
