During Wildflower Festival in July of 2006, I had the opportunity to take a class that took us on a walk up Purple Palace. Unfortunately, it wasn't listed as a difficult walk and many people were unable to walk far up the hill. Several of us persevered, though, and were treated with some amazing views and wildflowers! (Those that chose to return had a very enjoyable hike and identification class, as well.)

I apologise for it being in two parts, but the limits of size require them.Should you need to force QT to run these, launch it from your Start Menu and the select Edit→Preferences→Quicktime Preferences... Then select the File Types tab and make sure that MPEG is selected under the MPEG section! You may have to restart your browser, though....
